Skincare Routine

For today's post I am going to be sharing with you my skin care routine.

The first step is washing my face, which is usually one of two products, either the skin perfecting wash, or the tea tree scrub, depending on how my skin is depends on which product I use.

The tea tree scrub is used when my skin is a little dry, I tend to suffer with very dry, flaky skin, particularly around my nose and eyebrows, so I use an exfoliating wash to clear up any dry patches, and I use the skin perfecting wash to cleanse my skin on days when the dryness isnt a problem, honestly I'm not usually fussed which type of exfoliating scrub I use, as long as its a daily use scrub.

After washing my face with my chosen cleanser, I always cleanse my face again with this makeup remover/cleanser from Loreal, I really like this stuff, it's great for when I'm in a rush, or when I just don't want to go through my entire routine, it also melts away make up like a dream, so its great for when I mess up my mascara or my liner.

The toner I have been using recently is this Rosewater Toner from Boots, I like this toner however it is heavily scented and might not be to everyone's preference. I usually spray about three spays, one on my forehead, and one on each cheek, then I pat it into my face using a cotton pad.

Next it's time for moisturizer, both my face cream and my eye cream are from the same line as the toner, and again are pretty heavily scented, I do like these, especially the eye cream, its smooth and easily blendable, the face cream is also lovely and sinks into the skin very quickly.

A few times a week I like to really exfoliate my skin with the St.Ives apricot scrub, this scrub leaves my skin feeling wonderfully smooth and soft. (I have a review coming soon)

Once a week I also like to use a mask, since I have dry skin the two I use are both for dry skin. These masks are available from Boots, and are lovely, I have yet to try the exfoliating mask, but I have a review on the mega moisture mask. These masks are both under £5 and work well as a treat for my skin.

Lastly I always keep these facial pore strips handy, they are great for clearing up blackheads on my nose and chin.

Overall, my skin care routine has improved the quality of my skin, my skin is clearer than usual, and the combination of exfoliating scrubs, and the moisturising mask have worked wonders, especially around my nose which hasn't felt so soft and smooth in a long time, it also means my foundation goes on a lot better, the application is a lot nicer, no dry patchy clumps, just smooth foundation, and lovely clear skin.

Max Factor False Lash Mascara - Review

Hey guys, as I mentioned in my last post I recently picked up a tube of Max Factor False Lash Mascara, I've had this mascara before and I'll be honest, its not what I remembered it to be.

I'm sure all of you reading this will have seen this mascara before, its been on the market for quite a while now, and it used to be my favourite mascara to use, but now, not so much, I have to admit the mascara is nice, it leaves my lashes touchable, but it doesn't really do anything.

As you can see from this photo my lashes are darker, but other than that, they are a little clumpy, not very curled, and apart from being a little longer than usual, but its all 'a bit of this, and a bit of this' it doesn't seem to have a WOW factor, it doesn't blow me away, and to be completely honest, I don't think it is worth it's £11 price tag.

Thats all for now guys, talk to you soon, Byee
