Nailed It - Glitter On Pink

For todays post I thought I'd share with you another nailed it post. For this look I decided to go a little bit crazy with the glitter, I don't know why but I just really fancied something a bit more sparkly!

For this look I used three products I have used and talked about on here frequently.. The products in question are the Rimmel SAlon PRo KAte Polish in New Romantic, The Sally Hansen Salon Manicure in Glare Necessity and The Rimmel Finishing Touch Glitter Top Coat.

I used two coats of the pink, then one coat thick coat of each of the glitters, and did two accent nails, mainly just to break up the blue glitter.. Over all I was super happy with this nail look, its fun and a bit different!
Hope you enjoy this little post, and I'll talk to you soon.

Primark Tag

Today I thought I'd share with you all a little Primark tag, We've all shopped at Primark at one time or another so this seemed like a fun little post.

1) Do you have any nicknames for Primark?
Honestly I just call it Primark, I don't really stray from that, I know people who call it 'Primarni' but I just call it Primark.

2) Which item can you never resist picking up?
Socks, I always wear odd socks, and Primark's multi packs always feature bright patterned socks that are perfect for mixing and matching.

3) Are you guilty of buying knick-knacks at the tills?
Yes, everything from bobbles to lipbalms and right back to tissues, if there's a long queue and I have time to look, I always end up picking up extra goodies that I don't need.

4) Do you visit your local Primark or shop further afield?
Erm both, it depends on where I am at the time. I'm not always shopping in my town so I often end up a little bit further afield.

5) What is your Primark bugbear?
The customers, people who shop at Primark, treat it like crap. Clothes all over the floor, stuff on the wrong hangers, just thrown anywhere. It makes me mad because you don't see this anywhere else, but people think that because Primark is cheap they can treat it as such, which is such a disappointment.

6) What season do you look forward to most?
All of them, Primark has such a great selection of clothing for all seasons, summer has cute dresses, winter has cute sweaters, Primark is just awesome.

7) Do you use the Primark website or fall back on Primark hauls on YouTube?
I like watching Primark hauls on YouTube, because each store offers something different. But I never find the website that helpful, and most hauls are posted by girls who are alot skinnier than me so I don't see myself buying half the things people haul.

Let me know if you do this post on your blog, and I hope you enjoyed my spin on this post, talk to you guys soon!

Delarom Aquaconfort Mask - Review

Todays post is going to be another quick review on a product I received in a Birchbox. The product I am going to be talking about is the Aquaconfort Mask from Delarom.

What is it?
This product is a face mask, designed to re-hydrate dry skin, leaving it soft to the touch, and radiant to the eye.

How to use it?
Apply to skin two to three times a week, leaving on the skin 5-10 depending on the dryness, then remove with cotton wool.

Does it work?
Again, like the previous post, this is a yes and no products, now granted I didn't actually use this product the way it is supposed to be used, because I never thought to remove a mask with cotton wool! So perhaps that has something to do with my results, but even disregarding that, I didn't find this mask particularly hydrating, I mean, its nice, and smooth in texture and applies beautifully to the skin, but I didn't feel any different after rinsing this off, to be perfectly honest I get better results from my Quick Fix Facial hydrating mask, which is a fraction of the price.

How does it smell?
It doesn't really smell of anything, so for those of you who dislike or can't use heavily scented products then this might be something worth looking at.

Would I recommend it?
Erm, probably not, I mean, its nice and everything but it isn't anything to write home about, and for the price I feel like you could get something much, much better than this.

Price?
£24 for a standard bottle.

Hope you enjoyed this post guys, talk to you soon :)!

Nailed It - Mermaid Nails

Hey everyone, and a Happy Easter! Hope your all having a fantastic weekend, unfortunately I have a 10 hour shift to look forward to so this post is going to be a quick one, sorry in advance if you prefer more wordy posts!

Todays post is going to be, like the title says, a nailed it post, featuring two of the polishes I picked up recently. The polishes used are both from the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Line and you can see pictures of both polishes in my previous post.

I'm calling this 'Mermaid' nails because the blue chunky glitter top coat makes me think of shiney mermaid tails, and the turquoise is just such a gorgeous sea inspired shade that when you put them together, you get mermaids.. Do you see where I'm coming from? No? Just me then..

I have to say I'm so impressed by these polishes, as I've mentioned countless other times, my job usually means I have no nail polish left by the end of my first shift, I'm on my third and only the ends have chipped! This to me at least is incredible! I will definitely be picking up more of this type of polish!

Hope you have enjoyed reading this! And I'll talk to all of you soon.

Haul!

Haul full of pretty things!

I feel as though every other post on this blog is a haul.. but I can't help it.. I have a problem when it come to shopping. I get sucked in by offers and think 'ooh that's fantastic' and then before I know I have a basket full of stuff that I probably don't need, but I'm actually incredibly happy with the things I bought today, and thought I'd share them with you guys :)!

The first place I went to was Boots, I say this like I went to loads of places, which I did, but I only bought from three different stores. Boots had some fantastic offers going, one being a 3 for 2 mix and match, the other being 2 for £6 on products that were all more than £6 individually.. which to be fair, is a no brainer, you might as well get 2 products because your saving money and getting an extra product.. anyway, onto the products.

James Brown Hairspray - £6.29 - 2 for £6

James Brown Dry Shampoo - £7.19 -2 for £6 (seriously I got this for more than free!)

Loreal #Txt texture spray - £3.79

Max Factor Eyeliner - £6.99 - 3 for 2

Maybelline Mascara - £6.99 - 3 for 2

Bourjois Instant Dry Drops - £5.99 - 3 for 2 - Free

Nivea Facial Cleansing Wipes - £2.99 - 3 for £5

Total - £28.77 - Savings - £17.44

The next place I went to was TJ Hughes, which to be honest, I didn't even know existed untill today when I stumbled upon it. If you aren't familiar with this store, its similar to TK Maxx/TJ Maxx in the sense that it sells branded products at discounted prices, I had a good look around the beauty section, I wasn't too interested in the rest of the store and quickly realised that they have some mega bargins!

Heres what I picked up

Sally Hansen Nail Polish - Glare Necessity - £1.99

OPI Nail Polish - Tickle My France-y - £4.99 - 2 for £8.99

Sally Hansen Nail Polish - New Wave Blue - £1.99

OPI Nail Polish - Vampsterdam - £4.99 - 2 For £8.99

Total - £12.97 - Savings - 99p

The last place I bought from was Waterstones, now, I am a huge book fan, I love reading, but more than that, I freakin' love Castle, and when I walked into Waterstones to discover the release of a Derrick Storm novel, I almost cried with excitement.. I actually read the first chapter in the store before buying it because I just couldn't contain myself... so here it is..

Richard Castle Storm Front - £12.99

So there you have it guys, a quick haul from todays shopping session, I hope you all enjoyed it! Have a great rest of week, and I'll talk to all of you soon.

Nailed It! - Rimmel Fifty Shades Of Pink & Accent Nail

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share with you the nail look I created with two polishes that I picked up recently (a haul will be up in a couple of days). I have mentioned in a past post, that I was on the hunt for the perfect light baby pink shade and when I saw 'New Romantic' from the Kate for Rimmel Line I decided to just bite the bullet and see what if it was any good. I had been tip toeing around buying a shade like this for a while because I assumed it would be a waste of money and it would have zero colour pay off and I was going to end up disappointed but this shade is actually gorgeous with great pay off and just the right amount of shimmer.

I decided to pair the pale pink with a bolder, more red toned pink. I also added a thin layer of the Rimmel glitter top coat to the accent nail. I am actually really happy with this look,  I think its really pretty and feminine but still bold and classy!

I hope you guys like this Nailed It post, let me know if you try out a look similar to this!
Talk to you soon guys.

My Everyday Work Makeup

So for todays post I thought I'd share with you all my very simple and quick every day makeup, I call this my 'work' look but to be honest this is pretty much the basis of all my looks I usually just wear a little bit of foundation and lipstick on days when I have other things to do.. because I work long hours in a place that doesn't allow us to keep our makeup on us for touch ups, I have to make sure that my make up will look the same from the time I put it on, to the time I get home. These are the products I use every day to create such a look..

First step is to work on my complexion, and I only use two products and the same brush, (which I clean after every use)  I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer under my eyes and across my lids, blended up to my brow just to create an even texture and colour and to make me look less tired, and I also use this to cover up any imperfection and break outs that have cropped up, I don't use a lot of this, and I'm not overly fussed about covering everything and looking flawless, I just don't want to look tired. I set the concealer with a powder and lately this one by Fashionista has been a firm favorite, it is a loose powder that is soft and easy to blend. My brush is the Elf Flawless concealer brush and I like using it, its quick and just the right size, I use this with my powder as well, because again, its the perfect size, and picks up the perfect amount of product.

Moving onto Eye Makeup..

And I only really curl my lashes and use mascara, the one I am loving recently (Review coming soon) is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara, I apply two coats of this to freshly curled lashes and occasionally, this is more common on non-work days, I will apply a bit of eye liner to the lash line to tie the look together, but like I said at the start I don't get a lot of time to check my makeup when I'm at work so I normally skip liner so I don't have to worry about it smudging or smearing and creating the dreaded Panda Eye!

Thats all for todays post guys, I hope you enjoy, leave me a comment letting me know if you have tried any of these products and or if you have any to recommend I try next. I'll talk to all of you soon.

Loreal Skin Perfection Wash - Review

Today I wanted to review a cleanser that I have been using for quite a while now, a cleanser that I absolutely love. That cleanser is the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Soothing Gel-Cream Wash. This wash is amazing, it cleanses the skin wonderfully and removes make-up like a dream, the best thing about this cleanser is that it is gentle enough to use on the eyes, and I mean really gentle, I literally rub this over my eye lids and it doesn't sting or burn which helps with make-up removal.
I use this cleanser twice a day, and have noticed a big difference in my skins condition, it is brighter and softer than it was before using this cleanser, now I cannot put this change down to just this cleanser but it is wonderful, my only complaint is that the opening of the bottle is teeny tiny and makes it quite difficult to get a good amount of product out, but it might just be my bottle and its something I can live with.
Overall I think it is fantastic and for a drugstore brand cleanser it works better than I expected it to, it currently retails for £2.99 at Boots and I would definitely recommend trying this if you are in the market for a new cleanser.
I hope you enjoyed reading this, let me know if you try out this cleanser, I'd love to know what you guys think. That's all for today guys and I'll talk to you soon..

Nailed It - butterLONDON Fiver with Polka Dots

Hey everyone, as I mentioned in my last haul post, I recently picked up a muted mint green nail polish from butter LONDON and today I tried it out for the first time,  but when I was painting my nails I decided I wanted something a little bit different to just plain green nails, so I decided to add an accent nail on both hands, and thought it would be fun to do some lilac polka dots. As I have mentioned many times before, nail polish never ever lasts as long as is should so I didn't want to do anything too complex because my efforts would be wasted.. So here is the look I created..

Personally I think this is super cute, and super easy to do, I used a sewing pin to create the dots, and the whole thing took no time at all. I usually do my accent nails on my thumbs so that when I'm texting or playing on my phone, the design is more visable but this time I went for my ring finger instead, but this kind of nail art would look good on any finger, or your whole hand..

Well thats it for todays post. I hope you enjoy this, let me know your favorite nail combination! Talk to you soon..

Three Candles, Two Nail Polishes And A Perfume

Whats this? Another haul? You act so surprised!
So, yes, last week I went shopping, and only picked up a couple things, but thought you guys might like to see what I bought. I only went shopping with the intention of buying the perfume, but obviously I made a sneaky trip into a couple other shops.. Oops.. I'll start with the perfume since that was the reason for this trip.

How gorgeous is this bottle?!
This perfume is one of my all time favorites, when I was like 15/16ish I used to walk into Boots, spray tonnes of this all over myself and then leave.. a bit naughty of me, but I freakin' love how this smells, and although it is a little on the sweet side, its still quite grown up.. I was sprayed this yesterday just before starting my shift and one of my friends stood next to me and was like 'woah.. someone smells amazing' which I love getting that compliment.. I mean who doesn't, it's much better than being told 'you stink'.. but I digress.. The perfume is Jean Paul's Madame and is describe online as 'A fresh, sweet, floral fragrance. A twist of orange and fresh rose illuminated with a flash of grenadine.' Honestly I think it smells quite orangey but other people disagree, it is very strong, sweet and quite long lasting which I personally like because I prefer strong perfumes, my other favorite is very strong aswell.. I picked this up on sale for just £25 for 50ml which is a bargin, and was great for me since I was running low on my other perfume.

Next I popped into TKMAXX which is a shop I could walk around for ages, and this first product is something I had looked at, smelled, put down, walked away from and then regretted not buying for months but when I was buying the other two products this one was right by the check out and some how found its way into my basket..

This is the Copenhagen Candle in the Baby Powder scent, and Ohhh My God I love this scent and am going to put it in my bathroom, it is so nice, and I love it soo much. I honestly would stand in the candle aisle  (which the one in my city scent has a HUGE candle selection) and just smell this candle and then put it down.. The Copenhagen Candles come is a variety of sizes from the one I bought at £3.99 to a huge one at either £7.99 or £11.99 I'm not sure of the price of the big one, and depending on how good the scent pay off is when burning I may go back and buy the big one.. but we shall see!

The next two things were chance buys, which I know a lot of TKMAXX purchases are, but I didn't even realise my local store even stocked this brand and they are butter LONDON nail polishes. I mentioned in a previous Boots haul that I had found some on sale there for just £3, and at TKMAXX they were slightly more expensive at £4.99 but when you consider that they normally retail for £14, a fiver is a complete steal! So I picked up two colours and when I looked in my collection, I actually don't have colours like these and I will post a Nailed It post later on featuring one of these polishes.

The colours are Fiver, a muted mint green, and Toff a colour I don't really know how to describe but the butter LONDON website describes it as 'A darker, dustier, brownish variation on a rose pink nail lacquer' and both are gorgeous shades and I cannot wait to try them out.

Lastly I popped into Primark and picked up another two candles, these two however are for my 'getting ready' room and they are the votive candles in Vanilla.

These were just £1 each so again, a complete steal! They smell great and look adorable on my vanity table and for £1 you can't really ask for much more.

Well that about sums up this haul.. I went on a bit of a ramble so if you made it this far then congratulations! Thanks for reading guys! Have a great week and I'll talk to all of you soon.
