Product Rave - SEVENTEEN Miracle Matte Loose Powder

Hello Everyone!

Today I'm back with a product rave, I haven't done a proper rave in ever such a long time, but this product really deserves this post.

As the title suggests the product I want to rave about it the Seventeen Miracle Matte Loose Powder. Now as I've mentioned before I dont wear a lot of makeup at work because it's difficult to maintain because Im not allowed to keep products on me etc, so I basically just throw on some mascara and have done with it.. however recently I noticed that my skin was getting a bit oily so I decided to try out a mattifying powder to control the oils and keep my skin shine free.

I bobbed off to my local Boots, and had a good look at all the powders on offer and this one really stood out to me as it is a loose power instead of pressed which personally I prefer.

The powder is very finely milled and very soft, and for a drugstore powder it does an amazing job at mattifying and controlling shine all day. Honestly guys I'm so impressed by this powder, obviously I dont get chance to reapply this but I love the way it applies straight out of the gate and I go to work, or set off on my day feeling pretty great about my skin. I apply this all over my face but I tend to be a little bit heavier handed around my t-zone, you dont need to be with this, but again its just a personal thing I like to do, however the one minor set back of this product is that it doesn't come with a sponge applicator, which isn't an issue if you use a brush but I like to press the makeup into my skin so I'm currently using one I took out of my Collection Loose Powder, but for all you brush users this won't be an issue and makeup sponges are so easy to come by that it won't stop me repurchasing.

This powder is translucent but they have a pressed version that comes in three shades.

Overall I am thoroughly impressed by this, and will definitely repurchase this when I eventually run out of powder.

Seventeen is a Boots only brand and can be purchased online or in most Boots stores. The Loose Powder is £5.49.

Thats it for today guys! Hope you enjoyed this rave!

My Skin Care Routine

Hello Everyone!

Today I'm going to be showing my daily skin care routine. My skin is quite dry, especially around my nose and forehead but it also gets quite oily around my cheeks, I tend to treat the dryness more because I like my skin to be smooth particularly on full make up days as it makes the application much easier.

So lets get into it -

To start with I wash my face with the Loreal Paris Skin Perfection Soothing Gel-Cream Wash, I wash my face once with this in the morning to make sure its clean, and ready for the day. On a night I wash my face twice, once to get rid of the dirt and any make up, and the second time to really cleanse my face.

Next I exfoliate my face with a 'daily scrub', I change which one I use when I finish the one I'm currently using. I tend to skip this on a morning but really work it into my skin on an evening, which leaves my skin really clean and soft and smooth.

I try and use a face mask around three times a week, This one by Neutrogena is my favourite and I've been using it for years. When I use this I work it in like a wash then leave it on for about 5 minutes, before removing it with a face cloth and small circular motions. (I use a face cloth at every stage of cleansing by the way as an extra form of exfoliation)

Out of the bathroom, I use a cleansing wipe to remove any excess residue from the products I just used.

Then I move onto serum, I use this both morning and night. I'm currently using the Loreal Skin perfection serum. I work this into my t-zone as its designed to tighten pores and my t-zone is where I need the most help with that.

For day cream I use the Nivea Pure & Natural Day Cream.

For night cream I use the Nivea Pure & Natural Regenerating Night Cream.

Last step is eye cream, and I've been using the Simple Age Resisting Eye Cream, which lets be honest, I'm 23, I don't really need age resisting but I enjoy this, its light enough to use in the morning and evening, I am on the hunt for a new eye cream but for now I do like this.

Products shown -
Loreal Skin Face Wash  - £4.49
Neutrogena Scrub - £2.46 (RRP £3.69)
Neurogena Mask -  £2.46 (RRP £3.69)
Nivea Wipes - £2.59

Nivea Day Cream - £3.55 (RRP £5.35)
Nivea Night Cream - £3.55 (RRP £5.35)

Lash Bargains!

Hello Everyone!
Love a bargain!

Todays post is going to be a really quick haul featuring a few bargains I picked up at my local ASDA Living.
A bit of back story on this haul, basically I had gone out to do my weekly shopping (exciting right?) and decided before I did that I would swing by the ASDA Living to see what they had to offer, and as I was wondering the store I noticed a little basket of reductions in the bottom corner of the make up section so these little bits are things I found in the basket, funny thing is the girl that served me didn't even know about the basket and after serving me she ran off to go investigate it herself!

So here we go!

Diamond Flash Top Coat - £1.99
Revlon Lashes 91170 - £1.05

Revlon Lashes 91209 - £1.05
Eylure Lashes No 145 - £1.25
QVS Eyeshadowbrush - £0.75
So there you have it guys! Hope your all okay and having a fantastic week!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick - Pink Blush

Helloo!

Today we're talking about a Rimmel Lipstick I picked up a few months back,

The colour I chose was 006 Pink Blush which looked like a really pretty pink nude on the website, and in the bullet, however it doesnt translate to that colour on the lips.

On the lips its much more of a pastel baby pink shade.. which is lovely but not what I expected, or really wanted from this lipstick. Dont get me wrong its a gorgeous lipstick, creamy and pigmented but if your looking for a good nude shade then this is not for you, if you want more of a baby pink shade, then this is a really nice product.

Available from Boots for £4.99, also available in 13 shades.

Hope you enjoyed this quick review!

Talk to you soon guys!

My Nail Polish Collection - Overview

Hello everyone!

Todays post is going to a quick one, showing an overview of my nail polish collection, which over the next few posts I will be showing you in more detail.

I have grouped them all together so you can see the breakdown of my collection. I tend to sick to the same brands for my nail polish which is why some groups are bigger than others. When I decided to do this series I went through my collection and actually threw out 19 polishes that I either didnt like, didnt use, or were just really old leaving my collection at around 105 polishes.

Even to me that is kinda extreme but I love nail polish, I switch it up like three times a week so i do use a lot of it and I like a lot of variety.

For storage I actually keep my nail polish in the bottom draw of a bedside table where I keep the rest of my make up. I try and keep it organised and in some sort of order so I can easily find the colours I'm looking for.

Thats if for today guys, I will be posting one section of my collection a week so that I don't bombard you with nail polish posts!

Check out my instagram for updates on my daily nail polish looks!

Talk to you soon guys!

Where have I been? An update

Brace yourself for a very word heavy post.. I feel like I write this warning a lot.. Sorry!

Helllooo up to date photo

Hello Everyone.
Back in September I wrote a post saying I was back to blogging and I actually did quite well at sticking to that, posting pretty frequently until November, so I'm sure your probably wondering, what happened? Although this post is more for me to get some things off my chest, I do hope this post can begin to explain to you guys whats been happening.

Round about this time last year, I became ill with an unknown stomach issue, and to this day we don't know the cause or what is the actual problem, all I do know, is that I'm genuinely not well. Since around the time I took a break from blogging in November I have been to the doctors 5 times and the hospital 4 to see different specialists and doctors and they are still no closer to a diagnosis. I'm not going to go into detail about the issues I've had, because I dont really want to share them with the internet, but feeling the way I have felt has basically meant that I haven't felt up doing anything, no motivation to start and no willingness to go out and about and try new things, products or otherwise. I have generally been really miserable and essentially just going to work, and lounging around the house feeling sorry for myself, which lets be fair, is no way to live. I've put my life on hold for long enough because of this illness and its time to take back control and start living again. I guess the reason for me writing this is that I hope this gives me the push I need to get back into it full time and start taking photos again because if I'm being honest, I have gotten my camera out at all this year.
I want this to be it, I want to get back to writing to you guys regularly, like having a legitimate schedule that I stick to! I'm hoping for at least two posts a week, I think that is something I can generally stick to, but I seriously don't want to take any more breaks from doing this, it's something I really enjoy doing, and I've missed it these past few months.

So yeah, I hope you guys have all been okay, and are excited to have me back! I'm excited to be back!

Talk to you soon guys,
