TRESemme Review

Hey guys, for todays post I wanted to do a sort of updated hair care review type of post, because I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I had purchased some TRESemme products. If you frequent my blog you may have seen back in January I posted this post about the shampoo and conditioner I bought from the salon where I had my hair done.

Now, the products I purchased from the salon were, for the price incredibly disappointing, at least to me. The range I bought from were designed to be moisturising and daily use but I didn't believe that was true. My hair felt dry, and I could feel the damage to my hair that had been caused by the bleach that had been used, and I was kind of miserable about the whole thing.

However since finally finishing the old products I started to use the drugstore TRESemme products, and noticed a difference after the very first use.

The shampoo is designed for coloured hair, which I bought to help with the bleached ends even though the rest of my hair is still my natural colour, and the conditioner is designed for blonde hair, and honestly I can't remember a time when my hair felt as good as it does when I use these two in conjunction with each other.

I have heard before from some hair stylists that certain products can leave a sort of layer over the hair that gives the appearance of gorgeously silky hair, and I have no way of proving for certain whether this is whats happening to my hair, but either way, the ends of my hair have been transformed, and no longer feel like they have actually been bleached at all, in fact my whole hair strand feels the same, if that makes sense at all, which i'm sure it probably doesn't but hey ho. Before when I was using the salon line my hair was dry and brittle and came out in small clumps when I would run my fingers through it, now when I run my fingers through my hair, there are fewer knots than before and from root to tip my hair feels healthier.

TRESemme is currently on offer at most ASDA Stores, I purchased mine from a small local store so you can probably find them in a store near you, or online, and are retailing at £2.50 for most products in the line.

I hope you guys liked this short post, and I'll talk to all of you soon!
Bye for now!

Leighton Denny VS Barry M

As I've mentioned in a couple of posts, I recently received a bottle of a Leighton Denny polish in Mines A Rose, and ever since opening my Birchbox and seeing the polish I couldn't shake a feeling I had seen that polish before, and after a couple of days thinking about it, I decided to reach into my nail polish drawer and fish out Barry M's polish in Peach Melba, so I thought I'd do a comparison of these two gorgeous shades for you guys.

Side by side these two shades look very similar, although the Barry M shade is slightly darker, and a little bit more on the peachy/coral side.

I think the similarities between these two polishes run a lot deeper than just the shades, the bottles themselves are very similar in style, including the the thick glass base, and the curve at the base of the actual polish.
Not only that...

Barry M Brush

Leighton Denny Brush

But the style and shape of the brushes are very similar, they are about the same length and width as each other, they also apply the product in the same way.. which brings me back to my original point about the actual shade of these polishes. On the nails the darkness of the Barry M shade really shows through.

Left - Barry M / Right - Leighton Denny

As much as the polishes do differ slightly in colour, I think they are similar enough to say that you don't need both in your collection, both are gorgeous shades and both are very beautiful in consistency and application, but over all they are very similar but with all that being said, if you want a slightly paler peach, and a slightly peachier peach in your collection then by all means buy both.

Barry M Nail Paints retail for £2.99 and are currently on offer at Superdrug, where as the Leighton Denny polishes retail for £11 and can be purchased in store and online at Marks And Spencer

I hope you guys liked this comparison post, if you want to see more comparison posts then let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading this guys, have a great weekend.

Hey everyone, its that time of week again where I bring you a haul post! I am really excited to use all the products I have purchased this time around as they are all new products to me that I have never tried, but in most cases heard nothing but glowing recommendations about.

Thats all for this quick post, I know I usually post prices but I don't have my receipt handy but I will try and add the prices if I find my receipt.

Haircare Haul

Hey everyone, as you may know if you read my blog, I recently had my hair ombre'd which means I had the ends of my hair bleached, So because of this I need to have colour care shampoo, conditioner etc. Now as I mentioned in a previous post, I bought my shampoo and conditioner from the salon, that did my ombre, but I wasn't really happy with the products and for the price I thought they just weren't worth the money. So having seen an offer at my local ASDA I went back to basics with some TREsemme products.

The offer was pretty much all TREsemme products were £2.50 no matter what the size, so I thought I'd show you what I picked up, but first I thought I should mention that I picked up these products on a whim, so I didn't put too much thought into them, but overall I am happy with my product choices

I went with a shampoo for coloured hair, a conditioner for Blonde hair, and a damage repair mask, now, I don't really heat damage my hair, I don't straighten it, I rarely curl it, and yeah, I only really blow dry it when I need it doing quickly, so yeah the damage repair mask is really only to help condition it, and help keep it soft, shiney and healthy! I decided on conditioner for blonde hair as I don't,( to be honest I don't know anyone who, conditions my roots,) and my blonde bits are very dry and in need of some very important  TLC.

Anyway, I hope you guys like this little haul, for £2.50 a product I couldn't really complain with the range of products.. I did also buy a dry shampoo, but I have misplaced it so unfortunately it cannot be part of this haul.. haha..

Anyway, I'll talk to you later guys, have a great weekend!

So I had to get glasses...

Good morning everyone, hope your all having a wonderful week! Today I have a different kind of post for you all, which is all about my new glasses! (Warning this will be a word heavy post)

I had my eyes tested a while ago, because I was having difficulty seeing long distances, and when I was at work I couldn't see peoples faces, I just had to guess who it was and hope I wasn't wrong, it was a constant struggle and it wasn't getting any better, so off to Tesco I went for a free eye test, I was told during the appointment that yes, I could do with glasses but if I wore them I'd probably end up needing to wear them a lot and it was my choice so I opted against them and carried on the way I was going.
Fast forward to October last year when I started learning to drive, although it wasn't too bad I was struggling to see road signs until they were right next to me, and my vision was getting worse while I was at work, so this time I went to Asda Opticians and had my eyes tested again, I walked in knowing they were going to tell me I needed glasses so I was already prepared, I was told my left eye is weaker than my right, and that I needed glasses for distance seeing. I couldn't choose my glasses straight away as I had other appointments to get to but they said it was fine to come back whenever, so a few weeks later (yes, I am not an organised person) I went to choose my glasses and opted for a pair of normal glasses and a pair of sunglasses, that are mainly for when I start driving in the summer time when the sun is glaring.

I chose relatively plain glasses, but to be fair the selection of frames was, I wouldn't say poor but its only a small selection, but my fiance agreed with the frames for my every day glasses and the sunglasses I didn't really think too much about I just chose them on a whim and was like "yeah, these will do" The glasses were £70, or two for £99 for single vision lens' which is what I needed.

I have to admit, I am really happy with the decision to get glasses, when I first put them on, I was like "oh my god look at all the stuff I can see!" It was amazing, and when I'm at work wearing them, its amazing, I try not to wear them all the time but when I do the difference is incredible. I have only had my glasses since Saturday, and have never wore them in my before in my life, but some of the people who I've worked with for over two years thought that I'd always wore them.. Apparently my face just suits glasses!
My only complaint is that when I have mascara on, my eyelashes touch my lens' and I can feel it when I blink, which is slightly annoying but hey ho, its the price you pay for good vision :')!

Anyway, Thats enough of a ramble about my glasses, I hope you liked this post, leave me a comment letting me know if you wear glasses and what you think of them! and I'll talk to all of you soon, byee!

My Top Tips For Early Winter Mornings!

Cold and Foggy Mornings are Afoot!

I have mentioned this before, but over the past two years I have been getting up at 4:30am, every other week for work. I have never liked doing this, In fact I hate it, especially in the winter, because its dark when I wake up, and now that I have changed my shifts around, its dark when I come home, which sucks. However I have developed a few tips and tricks to get me through, and I thought it might be fun to share these with you guys, in hopes they may help, even just one of you! Granted the first three are more aimed at winter time, but the last tips can be used at any time of year to help you deal with those early mornings.

1) Set your heating on a timer.
Obviously this is easier if you own your own place, but if you don't you can always ask your parents permission, especially if your the one who gets up first. I set mine for a half hour before I am due to wake up, that way when I get out of bed, the house is lovely and toasty.

2) Put your clothes on the radiator before moving onto tip 3.
I love doing this, I always put my work uniform and my towel on the radiators, this means I have warm clothes to change into after step 3.

3) Have a hot bath/shower.
This well help wake up, feel more alive, and less like a zombie and also get your ready for the day a head. I tend to opt for a quick bath, I don't own a shower, so I jump in, wash my hair, body, & face, then jump out and quickly get dry.

I have an hour before I actually set off for work so I try to get the first 3 tips done, including drying my hair and getting dressed, done in the first half hour, which leads onto the next tips.

4) Have a strong coffee and a good breakfast.

I opt for an Americano for my coffee machine because its strong without being disgusting, and I usually have a bowl of cereal, I'm not fussy over what cereal I eat, as long as I have something in my system.

5) Take 5 minutes to yourself.
I usually take time out while I'm drinking my coffee, to check twitter, my blog, my emails etc and just have a few moments to myself, I strongly advise this, not just in winter but in general, If you start your day a little bit later, take longer, because this way, work is just a part of your day, Not the reason you get out of bed.. Unfortunately for me, there is no way I'm getting out of bed before 4:30am!

6) Wear less makeup.
I know for some people this is hard, but for me I slap on some mascara and some concealer, brush my teeth then finish with some lip balm (important in the winter) and I'm ready to go. If you wake up with plenty of time to spare then by all means do a full face of make up, otherwise just stick to the essentials, and save your self time to collect your things casually instead of rushing around in the last few minutes.

I really hope this helps some of you deal with the winter mornings. Let me know if you like these types of posts, if so I'll keep doing them.

Speak to you soon!
