Festive Nails!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

For todays post I thought I'd share with you a quick nail look I created for the festive season, I know I'm posting it a bit late, i.e on christmas day, but I love this look and thought you guys would too!

To create this look you need just three polishes, a green, a red, and a glitter.

Collection Green With Envy, Rimmel Glitter Top Coat, LoReal Rouge Pin Up

I did two accent nails on each hand, but you can choose how many nails you want to paint each colour, and you can do with with any colours not just festive ones.

This is the finished look, its super quick and easy to do, and looks super cute on the nails, it looks really interesting if you do the opposite on your other hand, especially the thumb, because they're visible then your texting!

Anyway, thats all for this post, Have a lovely christmas, and I'll talk to all of you soon!

Two New Face Creams

A few days ago I was doing my shopping when I popped down the skin care aisle, since my last skincare post I have been on the look out for a new face cream, the main reason is that I just didn't feel like the Boots one was really doing much good, my skin was still dry and flaking around my nose and it just wasn't really that great, so I picked up these two products to try out.

For the first time in my life I own a day cream and a night cream, now, I haven't fully tried these, i'm still trying to use up the last of my Boots cream, but I am extremely excited to see how these work in conjunction with each other.

Both creams are from the L'Oreal Paris Triple Active range, and can be picked up at most drugstores and supermarkets. The are packaged in cute little glass/plastic jars and are thick and velvety in consistency, I tried these on the back of my hand once I'd got them home and they sunk into my skin like a dream but as I mentioned I haven't given these a good try so will post a full review once I have tried them with the rest of my skin care routine.

I bought mine from ASDA on offer at £4 which is a complete steal!

Have you tried these? Whats your favorite face cream?
Hope you all enjoyed todays post, Talk soon!

Bourjois So Laque Glossy Review

Hey guys! Long time no speak huh? First of all I want to make a huge apology to all of you. If you read my last post you'll know that I'm having some work done on my house and all my make up is in storage until everything is finished but the other reason I have been unable to post is that I shared a laptop with my fiance and he had been taking it to university with him so I had no access to a blogging machine. BUT that will no longer be an issue since he bought me my very own laptop for Christmas *squeals* (Yes I opened it early, but my fiance wouldnt take no for an answer.. He hates waiting for me to open my presents) So I should be back to blogging every week now! I have a few posts already planned so will get those up while I work on some other ideas! Anyway, I'm really sorry that I've been absent for pretty much this entire moth.

For todays post I will be reviewing the Bourjois So Laque Glossy, I picked this up from ASOS.com In the shade Peach and Love. On the website this polish looks like a muted barbie pink, which I liked the look of, however in real life, its much more of a coral-pink which, is still lovely, just not what I had hoped it would be.

As you can see here the colour is definitely much more on the coral side of things and although it is a summer colour, it is lovely.
The consistency of this polish is a little on the runny side, which I'm not overly fond of, it is quite opaque which is nice, but I just prefer a thicker polish like I've mentioned before.

Over all, I do like this polish, and I will definitely try some others from the same line in the future.

I hope you guys like this post, It's good to be blogging again!

Beauty Questions Tag!

Hey everyone, just a quick message, I'm having some work done of the house I live in, so ALL my makeup and brushes are being stored away *Cries* so unfortunately my planned posts cant be written, so I'm going to post a couple of 'tags', help me get something posted, and help you to learn a bit more about me, I'm really sorry I cant post my usual posts, but normal topics should resume as soon as the work is completed!

On to the tag!

Skincare
How many times a day do you wash your face?
Twice, Once in the morning, once in the evening.
What type of skin do you have?
Dry and Flakey
What is your current facial wash?
Loreal Skin Perfection Soothing Gel-Cream Wash
Do you exfoliate?
Yes, Maybe more than I should, but as I have mentioned before, the skin around my nose and eyebrows tends to flake and peel, so I exfoliate more to keep my skin smooth.
What brand do you use?
St Ives Apricot Scrub
What Moisturiser do you use?
Boots Botanicals Hydrating Day cream.
Do you have freckles?
Yes a few, but not many.
Do you use Eyecream?
Yes, daily, I use the Ponds Eye Contour Cream
Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
I am more prone to blackheads than full blown acne, but I do still get the odd break out.

Make-Up
What Foundation do you use?
Rimmel Match Perfection
How about concealer?
Rimmel Wake Me Up And ELF Max Coverage Concealer.
Do you know your undertone colour?
I do not
What do you think of fake eyelashes?
I've never tried them but I do think they can change a make up look for day time to evening without adding much else!
Do you know your supposed to change your mascara every three months?
Yes! I dont usually wait that long, I just use it untill it goes dry and then I get a new one!
What brand of mascara do you use?
Mainly drug store, Im currently using up my false lash effect.
What make up tools do you use?
Brushes, sponges and my fingers.
Do you use primer?
No, I've never tried it, but I don't think I need it.
What is your favorite eyeshadow?
I like my heaven and earth pallet, the colours and quality are lovely :)
Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I tend to use gel more than anything, but i'd pick pencil over liquid.
How often do you poke yourself in the with your eyeliner?
More often than I'd like to admit
What do think of pigment eyeshadows?
I've never really tried them.
Do you use mineral makeup?
I tend to stick to what I know, which is liquid foundation, so I've never branched out and tried it, I'd be interested to try it though.
What is your favourite lip product?
I love my Rimmel Apocolips, I think they're my favourite.
What is your favourite blush?
I have a 10 colour pallet, so I just use that, I like the baby pink though.
Do you use drug store makeup?
Yes, my whole collection is drug store, I've never tried any high end products, but I think foundation will be the first thing I try!
Do you ever consider taking a make-up class?
Yes! I'd love to, I just need to find the time and place to take one
Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
Yes, because alot of the time I'm rushing, so I tend to smudge my mascara.
Name a make up crime you hate?
Non matching, Orange foundation.
Do you like colourful make up?
Yes, I prefer neutrals for day to day, but I love playing with colour.
Which celebrity always has great makeup?
Definitely Mila Kunis or Cheryl Cole
If you could leave the house using just one make up item, what would you use?
Mascara.
Could you ever leave the house without make up?
Yes, and I often do, I work full time and never wear a full face of make up, I just dont have the time, I start work really early and would rather have the extra sleep rather than get up early just to put make up on.
In your opinion what is the best make up line?
Drug store, I'd have to say Rimmel, but I havent tried enough brands to make a full comment.
What do you think of make up?
I love it, I think its a great, fun and safe way to express your self.

Hope you guys don't mind this kind of post! Let me know if you do this tag yourself, I'd love to read other peoples responses :)!!

Red Hot Nails

Hey everyone! For this post I thought i'd share with you my latest manicure using the Collection Lasting Gel Colour Polish in Red Hot.

I've already mentioned my love for these polishes, so I'll spare you the details, but this is the first real red I've ever owned, and its gorgeous and glossy. I would seriously recommend this and the other colours.

Have you tried these polishes? What did you think if you have?

Thanks for reading! Talk soon.

My Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Collection

I posted a Nail of the Day using a colour from my collection of Lasting Colour Polishes and mentioned I would do a collection, and since I picked up a new colour I thought now would be the perfect time to share that with you.
I own 6 colours from the range, 4 are the normal formulation and 2 are from the Gel range.

Chiffon Haze

Mulberry Bush

Purple Rain

Green With Envy

Think Pink

Red Hot
I honestly love these polishes, I've mentioned before that these are my favourites, I am some what of a lazy painter when it comes to my nails, and the wide brush makes for super easy painting. With my job the polishes don't last the full 10 days they promise but, that being said, no polishes lasts with my job. Overall, these are my favourites, you can pick them up from drug stores like Boots, and Superdrug, or from larger Tesco stores, and are available from under £4 which is a complete steal!
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you want me to do more like this! Talk Soon!

ELF Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils

Just a quick disclaimer, the next few posts will probably all be ELF Cosmetic based, I have been loving everything from recent haul so I wanted to post a few reviews and make looks I created using the products, I hope you don't mind!

So for today's post I wanted to talk about the Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils, They come in 10 shades and are a very affordable £2.50! I picked up 4 of the pencils, and am really impressed with all of them.

The shades I picked up are mainly neutral, except for 1 which is slightly more bold.

Like A Boss

Turkish Coffee

French Lace

Forest Nymph
For the price, these are incredible. The four colours I have are beautifully pigmented, with the exception of French lace, which is slightly paler than I would like but it is still lovely.

L-R Forest Nymph, Turkish Coffee, French Lace, Like a boss
As you can see, these colours are lovely and wearable, they blend out super easily and are incredibly creamy.

Overall, I love these and would love to own all of them, my only wish is that there was a matte white, and a matte black, they do have a black, but its shimmery and I would prefer a matte one, but I'll probably will get a couple more the next time they have a great offer.

Have you guys tried these? If so what did you think?

Thats all for now guys, I'm sorry this post is a bit short, I've been really ill over the past couple days, but I really wanted to get a post out for you today.

Thanks for reading, talk to you soon!

ELF Lip Exfoliator Review

As shown in my previous post, one of the products I picked up from ELF was their lip exfoliator, it was the one of the products I was most excited to try, and there were a couple different reasons why.

First of all it comes in a sleek black lipstick tube, which is perfect for your handbag or make up bag, also its clearly labeled so no confusion when you whip this out!

The product itself is similar in shape to a lipstick which makes this very easy to use both with, and without a mirror. The product is very gritty and moisturising, but it is scented, I think it's the Shea butter but I can't be sure, it is both pleasant and unpleasant depending on what you like, personally I'm not too keen but it isn't too over powering so I can live with it.

My lips before

My lips after (with balm)
The product after
As you can see from the photos this scrub does a great job, the last photo shows just how gritty the scrub is, which I really like, its gritty with out being painful, its also not as messy as say the lush sugar scrubs.

The balm I used was one I also picked up from ELF and is their conditioning lip balm in a jar.

The colour I chose was 'Nice And Natural' and is a lovely 'your lips but better' colour, or atleast it is for me.
The formula for these is lovely, really creamy with a nice subtle hint of colout, these are very moisturising without being overly sticky.

Overall, I love both of these products and I'm so glad I picked them up when I did, they are perfect for the winter months, and are both a great price.

Hope you enjoyed, talk to you soon!
